Highlight Your Hallways

Homes being built today tend to have an open concept floor plan.  This means that there are very few hallways in today's homes.  But if you live in an older home, chances are that you have at least one hallway.  These are often long, sometimes dark and usually unadorned spaces.  They just get you from one room to the next, right?

Well hallways are hidden gems.  They are the perfect places to add interesting lighting, display precious art and treasures, and possibly even provide amazing storage opportunities.

Take a look at these amazing hallways and see if you can come up with some great ideas to spruce up yours.

Light It Up

Long stretches of hallway can sometimes be dark, making you feel as if you're walking to your doom down a long, dank tunnel.  Dispel the darkness with style.

Painted Hallways
Hallways are great spaces to add color.  Since hallways usually have much less square footage on the walls, you can change out the color as often as you like without breaking the bank.

Storage Galore

If you have wide hallways you can take advantage of the extra space and use it for storage.

Art Gallery

Hallways make a perfect art gallery.  Instead of rushing from room to room, you can linger over beauty all over the walls.
