If you live in a home that's over 10 years old, chances are there are a few things you'd like to do to your home to add a little style and update your look. But you also don't want to shell out tons of money or your own precious time to get them done.
You're in luck! Today we're highlighting a few projects you can do to your home in one weekend. They won't take too much work, and they add a big impact when it comes to style.
Mirror, Mirror On The Wall
Unless you specify otherwise, many builders will put in an unframed mirror in bathrooms. Simply adding a frame to your mirror will make your bathroom seem so much more put together.
Top It Off
If you have a bathtub that uses a shower curtain, consider adding a cornice to the top. This set up looks best if you use two shower curtains to mimic draperies, but it works fine with just one. Construct a simple frame that your shower curtain rod hangs behind. It can be upholstered or stained/painted wood. You'll be amazed at how rich your bathroom looks. Remember, you don't have a light in your bathtub area you may want to leave a little space at the top to let in some light so that you aren't showering in semi-darkness.
Picasso of the Powder Room
My friends, a little paint goes a long way, especially in a small room like a bathroom. Whether you paint the walls, paint your cabinets or even paint your tub and sink (yes, you can do that!), you'll have a completely different look when your finished.
Fix Your Fixtures
Sometimes it's the little things that make a big difference. Switching out your faucet, towel bars or light fixtures are little touches that make a big impact.
Shelve It
No, don't put it off, we mean add some cool shelves. They give you lots of extra storage space and look great.
Get Hooked
Don't have much wall space, but do have lots of wet towels every day? Hooks are a great way to hang towels while saving space.
