January 2013 Home Trends: White and Rustic

Instead of doing a beginning-of-the-new-year trend analysis on homes, I thought I'd make it a regular thing.  Starting this month and at the beginning of each month, we'll feature some popular home trends.  These will not be highly scientific nor come from numerous surveys.  They will be based on a quick perusal of Pinterest, which has it's finger on the pulse current styles and trends.

So what are we seeing for January of 2013?  White and Rustic!  White as in white woodwork, white decorating, white kitchens, white furniture...you get the idea.  People are digging on WHITE this January. 

         

         

         

         

         

         

         

         

         



Juxtaposed to all that white is a parallel trend of rustic which includes stone walls, rough timbers, re-purposed items, wood everywhere, and nature abounding.  It may stem from a wish for a simpler time and lifestyle.  But regardless of the reason, people are loving all things RUSTIC.
