Take The Chill Off With A Fireplace

Fireplaces are a wonderful accent to a house, especially during the shoulder seasons of Spring and Fall.  In our house, we try to go as long as we can in the fall before turning on our furnace.  And this is much easier to do if there is a fireplace in the house.  The weather is a perfect cool temperature for sleeping therefore bedrooms really don't need much in the way of additional heat.  Then when you wake up, you flip the switch or light the match to start a warm and cozy fire.  By mid-day, the sun is heating up the house and the fireplace goes off.  And as the house cools again towards evening, you can start it up again.

Since we live in Minnesota, we rarely make it all the way to November before needing the heat, but we challenge ourselves every year.  But in order to do this, you need a fireplace.  We thought it would be nice to show you some cool fireplaces so that maybe, if you don't have one, you might just decide that it's very necessary!
